Feast of Ale back in Penticton for another round

One of the longest-running events in Penticton will be returning this April, as the Feast of Ale hosts its 2023 edition.

The event brings together brewers from across the Okanagan Valley and beyond, offering attendees a wide selection of over 150 different types of beer, cider, and ale. Announced vendors include Barn Owl Brewing Company, Howling Moon Craft Cider and Red Cellar Brewing Co. Attendees will receive a 5 oz tasting glass and be able to purchase tokens to exchange for tastings of different brews. Submitted brews will be judged by a committee, with categories including Best in Show, Best in Class for different types of brews, and the People’s Choice Winner.

Feast of Ale was first held in 1996 and is hosted by the non-profit Okanagan Fest of Ale Society. The event raises money for charitable organizations within the South Okanagan Similkameen region, and has raised over $750,000 over its multi-decade run. Craft beer events such as this provide a great opportunity for microbreweries and other smaller providers to attract new customers, using everything from eye-catching graphic design to unique tastes to stand out from the pack. The Feast of Ale will also feature food and live entertainment.

The 2023 Feast of Ale will take place on April 14 and 15 at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre.
