Special bulbs on offer for Maple Ridge gardeners

A new cultivar of tulip bulbs has been developed in honour of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Holland by members of the Canadian Armed forces, and they are now available in Maple Ridge.

Ever since World War Two, Canada and the Netherlands have shared a special connection, and each year, this is celebrated with the Ottawa Tulip Festival.

These tulips, which boast dark red flowers, are being sold in boxes of 10 and are ideal for fall plantings. Only a limited supply of them has been made available, so anyone who would like to add them to their garden has been advised to buy theirs soon.

The proceeds from the sale of the bulbs will be used by Royal Canadian Legion Branch 88 to fund its activities and programs, and this initiative has been developed by the Dutch Liberation Canadian Society 2020. They can be planted singly or in groups, and with their large flower size, they can also be a good fit for indoor forcing during the winter months.

An offer like this can be appreciated by local gardeners, and it also pays tribute to a piece of Canadian history. They have been packaged in specially designed boxes, and a printing company's graphic design depart can be counted upon to craft these sorts of Packaging materials.

Liberator tulip bulbs are now on sale at the Branch 88 office, and will be sold during regular office hours. They will be sold until no more are available.
