Maple Ridge offers forest mixology sessions

Summer and sipping in craft cocktails often go hand in hand, and a Maple Ridge special event will offer this experience with a unique, foraged twist.

An assortment of foraged botanicals will be on the ingredient list for the forest mixology class that will bring a touch of sparkle to a warm July evening. There are three start times available.

The guests will be treated to their choice of four signature cocktails, and these include a Magnolia Shrub and Soda, Tinto de Verano, a wild G and T and a Savage Sour. Anyone who would like to purchase a glass of wine or additional cocktails will be able to do so, and those who would prefer a non-alcoholic pour will have options as well. Tickets are $48.15 plus GST, and only those who 19 and up may take part.

Alongside the drinks, the attendees will learn about the forest from a wildcraft expert. A company that supplies flyer printing and other marketing services can prepare printed cards with the recipes used during an activity like this to distribute to those who take part.

Malcolm Knapp Research Forest will welcome ticket holders for its Wild Bar sip and talk on July 18th. The start times are 4:00 pm, 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm, and sturdy walking shoes and sun hats are recommended.
