Maple Ridge has an evening of family fun on the way, and it will be on offer at a local green space.
The free Celebrate the Night festivities will be held in Memorial Peace Park, and will be open to all ages. The event will include a fireworks display launched from the City Hall tower so that they can be seen from a wide area.
Along with the fireworks show, the function will boast a costume contest, and the prizes will include store gift cards. The contest will take place online so that everyone in the community can cast their vote for their favourite entry. It has been requested that, for the safety and comfort of both pets and people, dogs be left at home, and there will be a safety zone set up and maintained by the Maple Ridge Fire Department around the fireworks staging area.
