Repairing broken items can both save money and is a more sustainable choice than purchasing new, and Maple Ridge will soon be hosting an event that will make this a lot easier.
The spring and summer schedule for the Maple Ridge Repair Cafe has been set, with the next edition taking place in mid-March at the Maple Ridge Seniors’ Activity Center. All ages are encouraged to pay a visit, and they are welcome to bring along broken items for mending or repair.
The activity will see experts share their knowledge for fixing everything from broken clocks to clothing, and the tools and the materials for the projects will be provided. The volunteers will also be able to offer a helping hand, and coffee and tea will be served. Anyone who would like to drop by is welcome, and the session will run for two hours.
The movement to repair rather than just throw away broken items has gained a lot of momentum in recent years, and a workshop or other event may provide an introduction to living a more sustainable life. A poster printing company can supply a variety of ways to help get the word out about an upcoming activity like this one.
The March instalment of Maple Ridge Repair Cafe is scheduled for March 16th. It will begin at 10:00 am. A full schedule of dates for the activity can be found on AllEvents.in.
