A Maple Ridge school will be hosting a paint night that will introduce participants to a new feathered friend.
Everyone age five and up who registers for the event will be able to create their own work of art, depicting a family of owls. The function is being held as a fundraiser for the Hammond Elementary PAC, and a donation will be collected at the event.
During the class, the group will be taught the techniques they will need to complete their project, and the canvas, paint and an apron will be provided. Everyone is invited to attend.
Once the painting is complete, participants will be introduced to a barred owl, and they will have a chance to discover more about them. They will be encouraged to take photos if they wish, and these can be a keepsake of the activity.
