The community of Maple Ridge will once again be hosting its annual Christmas in the Park celebration, and is inviting all community members to attend.
The event, which is intended to be family friendly and offers activities for every age, will include craft stations where the public can create their own holiday decorations, hot chocolate, popcorn and cookies, entertainment, lots of lights and other holiday trimmings. Santa will be on hand for the festivities, and will be spending time visiting the vocal children and hearing their Christmas wishes. They can also drop off their letters for the jolly man himself. In addition to all of this, they can engage in the different Christmas passport activities that will be set up throughout the park.
There is no charge to participate, but people are asked to keep the environment in mind and bring along a cup or mug for their hot chocolate. Reusable Banners and other themed decorations can be prepared for an event such as this using sturdy materials that can withstand being outdoors and exposed to the elements.
The Christmas in the Park celebration has been planned for December 3 in Memorial Peace Park, and will run from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Further details about the day can be found on the Maple Ridge Christmas Festival website.
