Each year, Maple Ridge joins communities all over the world in celebrating Earth Day, and 2020 will be no exception. It will kick off the community’s festival season, and point the way to living a sustainable lifestyle.
The theme that has been chosen for this year’s Earth day festivities will be “Heal(thy) Community, Heal(thy) Self”, and this will run through the various offerings that are included in the agenda for the day. It will be putting the area’s environmental assets front and centre, while also encouraging the public to get up, get out and get moving.
While this celebration will not be held until the spring, the organizers are hoping the community will begin its support for the day well before then. There are many volunteer positions that need to be filled, and as many hands can make light work, the more who sign up, the better. It can also be an opportunity for green businesses to introduce their products and services, and their sponsorship will be welcome.
A large function like this often requires the use of a variety of printed products, and a printing services company can prepare Letterheads and other items using materials that have been sourced in an environmentally friendly way and can also be recycled.
Earth Day 2020 will be making sustainability the watchword for Maple Ridge on April 18th.
