Memorial Peace Park in downtown Maple Ridge will be lighting up the night with brilliant outdoor displays for the whole family to enjoy this winter.
Select evenings throughout December will showcase live entertainers at the glowing Bandstand, a dazzling art tree and interactive sequoia, as well as crafting activities and Reindeer Games for the children and those who just want to enjoy some childhood fun.
When the air gets chilly, visitors to the park can visit the Warming Station or grab a tasty treat from the Polar Bear Cafe or the Mini Donut Food Truck. Events in open spaces such as this offer a perfect opportunity for merchants in Maple Ridge to utilize banner printing as a means to highlight their location and stand out above the crowd.
Those planning to attend the festivities should remember to dress warm and bring a camera to take some photos. The stunning illuminated creation “Rain Enlightens Hummingbird” by Katzie First Nation artist Rain Pierre will be the perfect backdrop for a selfie with a sweetheart, and a stroll beneath the twinkling tunnel is sure to brighten up a smile.
GLOW Maple Ridge began on November 26th and will run until January 6th. There is no admission fee to Memorial Peace Park, and more details can be found on the city event website.
