Maple Ridge market to kick-off holiday season

Savvy shoppers know that attending a pop-up market can make it a snap to get all of their holiday shopping out of the way, and one of these events will be on offer this November.

Maple Ridge’s Albion Community Centre will be opening its doors for the Albion Holiday Craft Fair, which will give local makers and buyers a chance to connect. Members of the public can shop from at least 100 different vendors, and the proceeds will be donated to local not for profits groups.

The activity will open the holiday shopping season with an afternoon of retail therapy, and the whole event will have a festive feel. Santa will be on site to meet the kids, and food trucks have been invited to take part as well.

Admission is free, and a raffle will help to raise even more for its charities of choice. The proceeds from the raffle will be donated to Katie’s Place Cat Shelter, along with a charity that works with special needs children. To thank the public for its support, the first 100 shoppers to arrive with receive a special gift. Companies sometimes donate corporate gifts for such giveaways.

The Albion Holiday Craft Fair is scheduled for November 26th. The event is on offer thanks to a partnership with the City of Maple Ridge, and tickets will be available starting on September 7th.
