Kids in Maple Ridge who are fascinated by birds may find that a local learning opportunity will help them to make some fun discoveries about their feathered friends.
Throughout the month of May, children who are between the ages of 9 and 12 will be treated to some hands-on outdoor learning, and the organizers have explained that they have built a schedule of activities they hope will be as fun as they are educational. There will be four sessions, and the registration fee is $100.
The kids will be introduced to a variety of STEM topics that are related to the birds they may see in their neighbourhood and in local parks, and the activities are being offered as part of the Explore Science Club. They will engage in both guided learning and self-exploration, and the hope is that this will spark a lifelong love of learning about the world around them.
When preparing to host a children’s activity program like this, it can be a good idea to connect with an area Print shop, which can provide themed activity sheets and name tags for each learner, as well as a full line of other promotional products.
This series of Langley Birds outdoor workshops will start on May 4th, and they will be held each Tuesday at Brydon Lagoon throughout the month. Anyone who is interested is advised to visit the online listing to find out if spots are still available.
