Maple Ridge is proud of its agricultural side, and this sector will be the focus of an upcoming event that may help to make July feel even more summery.
Maple Ridge Country Fest, which is on the way for the Albion Fairgrounds, will be filled with a wide assortment of agriculturally themed activities. These will be offering fun for the whole family, and one of its goals is to bring together both rural and urban residents. All ages are encouraged to attend.
The two-day schedule for the event includes everything from a 4-H Club show and a horse show to display of locally made arts and crafts. A flower garden will be available for viewing and relaxing, while a beer garden will be set up for those who prefer to sit back with a cold drink. Food trucks, a pie eating contest, music, vehicle displays, a petting zoo and farming demonstrations are just some of what else will be in store for the attendees.
