Maple Ridge will soon be celebrating the area’s agricultural side with an upcoming festival.
Maple Ridge Country Fest will bring a taste of the country to the city, with Albion Fairgrounds being transformed into a country fair. One of its offerings will be an exhibit by the area's 4-H clubs, and there will be lots of other attractions to explore.
Members of the public who stop by can spend some time in the garden area, and an art show, beer tent, live music and also food trucks are all in the works. A special zone of activities for the kids will be on offer too, and there will be antique vehicles to view. Demonstrations of farming and a petting zoo have been scheduled, and anyone who wants to put their appetite to the test can sign up for the pie-eating competition. The organizers are hoping that the fest will attract lots of city dwellers, and everyone is welcome.
