Summer days and fun go hand in hand, and the organizers of the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows Country Fest are hoping this will be the case for an event that will be on offer for local families very soon.
The occasion has been planned so that it will have the feel of an old-fashioned country fair, and there will be lots going on for all the guests to enjoy. One of the focuses of the occasion will be a celebration of the local agricultural community, and admission is free to the public.
The schedule for the two-day festival includes horse shows and demos of backyard farming, and the area’s 4-H clubs will have a show area set up as well. The foodies in the crowd can try their luck in the blueberry pie eating contest, and a beer garden will also be on site. The kids can meet the animals in the petting zoo, and everyone can enjoy the food trucks, antique car display and entertainment.
