Maple Ridge event to explore power of pollinators

Pollinators will take pride of place during a Maple Ridge event that will explore how these creatures help to keep Mother Nature humming along.

Kanaka Creek Regional Park has scheduled an open house-style activity that will introduce the venue to the public and offer a sneak peek into the world of pollinators. Tours of the facility will be on offer, and the function is being presented thanks to the Kanaka Education & Environmental Partnership Society.

The function will explore how bees, butterflies, moths, birds and other pollinators are essential for the survival of their ecosystem, and attendees will be able to visit the venue’s garden that has been designed to attract these creatures. Everyone can find out about mason bees and how installing a home for them can invite them into a yard. All ages are welcome to join the fun, and it will be a drop-in activity.

Learning about the world around them can be fun at any age. Venues that host public activities may find that Stationery printers can offer them a variety of ways to get the word out about a special event.

This introduction to the power of pollinators will be offered on June 23rd. It will begin at 12:00 pm at 11484 256th Street in Maple Ridge. Anyone with questions is asked to call 604-432-6359.
