Maple Ridge dinner to provide Christmas companionship

While the holidays are often a happy time of year, they can be hard for those on their own, and an upcoming Maple Ridge gathering is offering residents companionship and a special meal.

Thanks to the support of the community and a dedicated group of volunteers, Christmas Haven provides those who would otherwise be alone or facing financial hardship with a meal and the company of others. Anyone who would like to attend is welcome, including both individuals and families, and no reservations are needed.

The gathering, which will be accessible to those who need a wheelchair or other assistive device, will include a visit from Santa, and there will be activities on offer for the kids. The dinner will include turkey and all the trimmings, and local performers will keep everyone entertained throughout the event.

The planners have explained that volunteers and donations from the community are an essential part of keeping this annual event going. A poster printing company can help to keep the public informed about events like this, letting them know how, when and where they can lend a hand.

The Christmas Haven Holiday Dinner will be welcoming guests on December 24th. It is set to be held at The ACT in Maple Ridge, and its website includes the most up-to-date information about the activity, including how it may be adapted in response to COVID-19.
