Chinook salmon are one of the species that can be found in the rivers and streams in and around Maple Ridge. Two local not-for-profit groups will be joining forces this June to celebrate Father’s Day, and it will include hands-on environmental action.
Young and old alike are invited to be a part of the Father's Day Fish Release. While it will be focused on salmon, it will also provide more details about the Alouette river watershed and the plants and animals that call it home.
The Maple Ridge Adopt a Stream program and the Alouette River Management Society have organized a two-hour long activity that will include the release of 500 baby Chinook salmon into the river. Along with this, there will be displays and activities for the public, and members of both groups will be on hand to answer questions and share information. There is no admission fee, and everyone is welcome.
An event like this can be both fun and educational. Using reusable materials, such as roll up signage and Banners, crafted by local providers of printing services can be an ideal choice for this sort of occasion as they can be reused, which can help to save money over the long term.
This scheduled start time for the Maple Ridge Father’s Day Fish release is 11am, and it will be held on June 16th at 23200 Fern Crescent.Get a Free Quote for Banners
