Season of the Eagles to be celebrated in British Columbia

The 18th annual Fraser Valley Bald Eagle Festival is set to begin with the ‘Season of the Eagles’ in Harrison Mills next month. The festival is a presentation of the Mission Chamber of Commerce.

The event will offer guests the chance to learn about eagles and other wildlife while taking part in tours led by Fraser River Safari. Other activities include geocaching, with 15 containers hidden throughout the area; a tour of the Inch Creek Hatchery and Kilby Historic Site, which is a restored 1906 general store; live birds; wildlife displays; seminars from expert speakers; and a coloring contest for children. Guests can also pose for photographs with the live birds for $5 or $10.

An exhibitor's fair, taking place at Leq'a:mel Hall, is expected to feature many environmentally friendly businesses and organizations, as well as food vendors. There should also be plenty eagle and bird-related gift items for sale. Souvenirs of the festival, such as Postcards, jewelry, Mugs, and ornaments, will also be available for purchase.

Organizers of the festival, which attracts people from cities across the region, including nearby Chilliwack, have likely asked their local Print companies to help provide some of the souvenirs that will be for sale. They might also provide marketing materials such as Flyers to help inform the greater community of the upcoming festival.

The Fraser Valley Bald Eagle Festival is taking place in various venues around Harrison Mills from November 16-17. To find out more, contact Allison Jack at 604-826-6914.
