BMX competition returns to Chilliwack

BMX Canada will be bringing its Grands event back to Chilliwack this October, featuring a weekend full of extreme cycling stunts and competitions.

Riders will race along a bespoke track including hills, jumps and other terrain features. Friday and Saturday will feature practices and races in a variety of age groups and bike types, followed by Superclass competition featuring the top senior riders. The Superclass Saturday night event will showcase legends of the sport over 30, as well as the future of Canadian BMX with the 13-16 Futures and 11-12 Trophy Dash event.

Sunday will feature the full Grands competition, with stunt performances and riders at their athletic peak. The Fraser Valley traditionally kicks off the BMX Canada series for a new season. Top riders will earn points to qualify towards the national championship later in the year. The National Series will also include BC stops in Kamloops and Vancouver Island.

The competition will feature the top national names in both men’s and women’s BMX, chasing last year’s national champions Zach Frier and Makayla Brosius. This year’s event will include a Buy One, Get One free ticket offer for newcomers looking to attend the sport for the first time. Athletic events like this often use grassroots advertising like flyer printing and promotional deals to attract new spectators and participants.

The 2026 BMX Canada Grands event will take place at Chilliwack Heritage Park from October 9 to 11.
