The 2012 Chilliwack Firefighters’ Calendar is still available. It costs $15 and contains photographs of each fire hall and platoon in the city. Proceeds go to the Firefighters’ Charitable Society. Calendars can be purchased at Fire Hall #1; they can also be purchased at Chilliwack Mall and Cottonwood Mall until tomorrow, December 24.
Last year’s calendar raised more than $25,000 for the Society and the BC Firefighters’ Burn Fund. The Firefighters’ Charitable Society raises money for a number of programs including bursaries for top students to attend college or university, Chilliwack Safety Village, Chilliwack Community Services, Chilliwack General Hospital Development Fund and the Salvation Army Food Bank.
Chilliwack printing companies most likely were asked to create this year’s calendar.
