One improvement that has been completed is the extension of a culvert that is south of the runway. This was done through the installment of a ditch, which allowed for a strip width that is obstacle free. A metal culvert that had become corroded over time was also repaired. The work began this past August, and according to reports, it has largely been completed.
Chilliwack MLA John Martin remarked that he is pleased that the construction has been undertaken, as the growth of the facility can help to spur further economic growth in Chilliwack and the surrounding communities.
