The Chilliwack Quilters Guild is preparing for an event that will showcase a variety of handmade quilts and other items, and everyone is welcome to come and view these functional works of art.
The group will be hosting its ‘Our Fabric Gems Quilt Show’ which is a biennial event. It has been planned to appeal to all ages, and has lots to offer the public, whether they are avid quilters or have never even threaded a needle.
The planners anticipate that there will be more than 200 handmade quilts on display, featuring both traditional and modern designs. A Merchant Mall will be a part of the event, and The Tea Room will offer a space where the attendees can relax and chat over some light refreshments.
Visitors to the show will be able to purchase tickets for the raffle, with the prize being a quilt made just for the occasion, and there will be other raffle baskets as well. To help make the occasion fun for the whole family, children who are 12 and under, as well as husbands, will be admitted free of charge.
