The Association offers exhibitions, classes and seminars to those interested in improving their talents or those who are just discovering the arts. Some of those people who are discovering that they have a talent for art might be those who will eventually join the printing industry and create the great Posters, Postcards and Brochures of the future.
The aim of the Chilliwack Visual Arts Association is to work
“together to encourage the appreciation of the visual arts in the community.”
The Association is a non-profit organization of local artists who work and exhibit together. All members are encouraged to submit their artworks for consideration to be included in art exhibitions at the Chilliwack Art Gallery. Membership costs $40 for an individual, $50 for a family a $10 for an associate member; associate members are not allowed to exhibit art but are welcomed to all seminars, classes and gallery events. Members meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday of every month at 7pm at the Chilliwack Art Gallery. Prospective members are welcome.
The arts association provides seminars and classes in various media including printmaking, wood turning, photography and painting.
