Chilliwack residents who would like to help spread some holiday cheer may want to consider making a donation to a program that helps those in need.
The Agassiz-Harrison Communist Services Society is seeking support for an initiative that will provide support to families over the holidays. The organizers of the Sponsor a Family Program have asked everyone to consider including a donation to the initiative in their holiday budget, and there are several ways for the public to donate.
Businesses, individuals, families and organizations can all participate in the activity, which will see special giveaway Bags given to families in need. Monetary contributions for this will be appreciated, and anyone who has a winter coat that is in good condition and needs a new home can drop it off as well. These will be collected, cleaned and distributed by Family Parenting Place.
Any financial donations over $20 will qualify for an income tax receipt. Organizations that host themed fundraisers often choose to use poster printing companies to aid in promoting the activity to the local area.
The Agassiz-Harrison Community Services Society will be helping to ensure everyone has a happy holiday season through a variety of initiatives, and the deadline to make a contribution for its Sponsor A Family Program is December 18th.
