Chilliwack to celebrate Canada Day

This year, Canada Day will mark the 146th anniversary of the signing of the British North America Act, which basically made Canada a country. The Chilliwack Arts Council is presenting the annual celebration, which features a variety of fun activities for all.

The day will start off with a pancake breakfast in Evergreen Hall. This will be followed by demonstrations of sports such as pickle ball, badminton, roller derby, lacrosse, and tennis. There will also be a military display, free skating and swimming.

For those looking to relax, there will be a dog agility performance, a car show, and a fireworks demonstration. There should be something at the event to appeal to every member of the family, no matter how old.

There will also be commercial and craft vendors selling a wide variety of manufactured and handmade items such as jewelry, clothing, and art works. Booths are free but renters must pay a fee based on their gross earnings of the day.

Vendors taking part might be using such services as poster and banner printing from Chilliwack Print companies to ensure they’re able to draw attention to their booths. Organizers might also be investing in Flyers and Posters to advertise the upcoming event.

The celebration event will take place at Chilliwack Landing on July 1 from 8:00am - 10:00pm. Admission is free. For more information, or to enquire about becoming a vendor at the event, get in touch with the Chilliwack Arts Council by calling 604-769-2787.
