Chilliwack is well known for being a city that fosters the creative spirit, and an October event will give some of its artists a chance to share their story with members of their local community.
Creative Chilliwack, which is being offered on a free-of-charge basis, will give 10 different speakers from the local area an opportunity to tell their story to the public. This will be done using a Pecha Kucha style format, meaning each presenter will show 20 different images, with each being on screen for 20 seconds. As the pictures change automatically, the individual will be able to address the crowd.
According to the organizers, this format was chosen because it is both insightful and fast-paced while allowing the speaker to really engage the audience. They went on to say that, as only a limited number of seats will be available and the event tends to sell out, those who are interested in attending may wish to reserve their spot as soon as possible. Signs and other promotional materials for a function like this can be supplied by a local printer.
