Chilliwack’s future naturalists will be able to make a wealth of discoveries when they attend a summer camp option on offer in the city this summer.
The Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve has plans underway to host kids from age 5 to 12 for an immersive experience at a local wetland. The instructors will be members of the reserve’s environmental education team, who each have a lot of experience in working with youngsters at a variety of ages.
The campers in the five half-day sessions will take part in a variety of activities that will give them a sneak peek into the ecology of marshes, bogs and other wetlands. They will make discoveries about the flora and fauna that call them home, all the while making new friends and having lots of fun. Each day will run for three hours, leaving afternoons free for the kids to engage in other summer pursuits.
The organizers of this sort of function can count on local Print shops to supply them with the materials they need to take care of the business side of hosting a summer day camp. They will be able to offer a full line of custom-designed documents.
The Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve’s Nature Camp will begin on August 23rd. Additional information for campers and parents alike is available on the reserve’s website.
