Chilliwack kids offered safety training day

Kids from the ages of nine to thirteen are invited to attend a course that will teach them how to be safe in a variety of situations.

A workshop is on offer in Chilliwack that will give youth skills they can call on when they are on their own. The agenda will introduce topics ranging from first aid to time management, and the program has been developed so that the learning will be lots of fun.

The syllabus will teach hands-on life skills, and having respect for themselves and others will be one of the main points taught to the group. What to do when the unexpected comes up will be discussed, and topics such as the use of the 911 system, the basics of first aid care for choking and the use of an EpiPen, as well as how to treat bites and stings, will be reviewed. It will be a full day of learning.

Teaching youth how to look after themselves and be safe on their own may help to put them on the road to an independent adulthood. Materials for a workshop like this may be prepared by an area printing services provider.

The date for the Stay Safe day-long course will be March 26th. The function will take place at the TTF Educational Office and Classroom, located at 46098 Yale Road.
