Chilliwack hosts Christmas market
The Chilliwack Community Arts council will be hosting the 47th Christmas Craft Market this year.
This annual event is a popular one among locals. The Chilliwack Community Arts council helps promote individual and groups that embody the arts community in Chilliwack, as well as providing support for local artisans.
The market will be returning after a two-year suspension due to the coronavirus. Attendees will have a chance to shop for one-of-a-kind handmade arts and crafts. Currently, the Chilliwack Community Arts council is looking for vendors who would like to showcase their arts and crafts at the fair. It is looking for makers, artists, creators and crafters of all ages. Local craft markets such as this one are a great way for local artisans to drum up future business, and distributing business cards at such events is one way to help promote local artistry.
In the past, the market has hosted vendors selling jewellery, fashion and home décor, such as hand-crafted stockings and festive pillows. Ceramics, as well as tasty festive treats, have also been available.
The Chilliwack Christmas Craft Market will take place at Chilliwack Heritage Park. The market will open on Friday, November 18th between 12 pm and 8 pm; on Saturday, November 19th from 10 am to 6 pm; and on Sunday, November 20th from 10 am to 4 pm.
