An auction can be a good way for a farm or other agricultural operation to get some gently used equipment at a deep discount, and a Chilliwack company will be hosting one of these events this fall.
The annual Beekman Auctions’ spring 2020 auction has been relocated to the fall, and just as previous events, it will feature both large and small equipment. It will be taking place over a two day period and will include both in person and online opportunities for the public to place bids.
The event will begin on a Friday evening with an auction that will include small power tools, hand tools, lawn mowers and antiques, and this will be taking place in the Heritage Barn. On the Saturday, there will be two rings on offer. The first will include large pieces such as tractors, ATV's, boats, trailers, harrows and other items, while the second will be for miscellaneous equipment and assorted “junk” that can be repaired, repurposed or just enjoyed for its design.
Attending this sort of event can be both a work and social activity, and it also provides a way for farmers and other operators to get new tools and vehicles at a bargain price.
