BC residents gear up for holiday season craft fairs

The people of Chilliwack will be given the opportunity to find all kinds of unique gifts with two craft fairs taking place in the area this month.

The first event is the 39th annual Chilliwack Christmas Craft Market, which is set to take place over three days. This is a juried market which takes up 35,000 square feet of space. There is expected to be a wide variety of items for sale, including jewelry, ornaments, and home accessories.

Later in November, the Robertson Elementary Christmas Craft Fair is also set to offer a wide selection of gift items. In addition to handcrafted products such as clothing and home baked food, direct sale representatives from such companies as Avon and Scentsy will be on hand with their cosmetics.

The organizers of both of these events may have worked with Chilliwack printing companies to help with their advertising campaigns. Flyer printing is often used around Christmas to keep people informed of special activities and celebrations.

The Chilliwack Christmas Craft Market is taking place at Chilliwack Heritage Park from November 15-17, beginning at 10:00am each day; admission is $3. Booths can be rented by sellers for $125. To find out more about the market, contact the Chilliwack Community Arts Council at 604-769-2787.

The Robertson Elementary Christmas Craft Fair will be held on November 23 from 9:00am-4:00pm. Admission costs $2 or attendees can offer a food donation instead. Call Tara McCarthy at 604-316-1761 for more information.
