The 19th annual Business Excellence Awards are taking place in January. The event is a presentation of the Chilliwack Economic Partners and the Chilliwack Chamber of Commerce.
With the official theme of ‘Black and White Gala’, the evening will consist of a cocktail reception with local wines, beers, meats and cheeses. This is to be followed by a buffet dinner and then the ceremony itself. Music will be provided by the Chilliwack Symphony Orchestra throughout the night.
There are several categories of awards to be handed out, including Professional Services, Agricultural Excellence, Sustainability Leadership, Young Entrepreneur of the Year and the Citizen to be Recognized - Legacy Award.
Awards ceremonies are often held to honor those who have achieved success in business, while contributing to the economic health of the city. No doubt attendees will want to speak to the winners about what they did to deserve their prizes and perhaps get some advice on how they too can work towards a similar kind of success.
The evening will be a great networking opportunity for Chilliwack’s business leaders. It's very likely that those attending will be arranging for a new business card printing order in advance. There will be many opportunities to exchange details at the reception and during dinner so it's important that cards are in good shape and have correct contact information.
