Burnaby’s Civic Square has been chosen to play host to a special anniversary celebration, and its organizers hope everyone will come out and join in the fun.
The Burnaby Public Library is celebrating its 60th year of providing the access to Books and other publications as well as serving as a hub for the community. The day will be filled with music and other festivities, including a pancake breakfast and a medal ceremony for those who took part in the summer reading club. Food trucks will be on hand to feed the hungry crowd, and there will be a variety of multicultural dance performances, an exhibition of Curiosi-Trees local art, a movie, archery, and other themed games. It is all designed to be family friendly, with something for everyone.
According to those who have planned the event, there may even be some special surprises for those who come out to take part in the day’s activities. Banners can be produced by printers to be used as decorations for outdoor public functions such as this.
