World Rivers Day is a day commemorating everything to do with rivers and is celebrated in countries all over the world. An upcoming Burnaby event will give the community a way to join in the excitement, while learning about riparian and waterway health.
The team at Burnaby Village Museum have decided to offer a day dedicated to river health. It will have a focus on the local area, and there will be opportunities to learn and enjoy some hands-on fun. The festivities are being hosted free of charge.
The organizers are putting together a schedule of activities that will range from interactive displays and venue tours to demonstrations, crafting tables, and live entertainment by local performers. Along with this, there will be several environmental stewardship projects taking place at several community streams and creeks. Members of the community can register for these as their scheduled date approaches. The Burnaby Streamkeepers program will be introduced, and this is just the beginning of the fun to be had.
Supporting a cause can be very satisfying. Organized events give the public an opportunity to do so, and materials prepared by a poster printing company can be helpful in getting the word out to the community.
Burnaby Village Museum is set to welcome one and all for its World Rivers Day festival on Sunday, September 24. It will be getting started at 11am and will last until 4:30pm.
