Burnaby Heights is a neighborhood that has long been considered a pleasant place to live, and recent home sales seem to be reflecting this.
According to Sutton West Coast real estate agent Brian Suico, he recently sold a house on Edinburgh Street that went for $1.37 million, which was almost 40 per cent above the price the owners had been asking for.
He noted that over 100 people showed up for the first open house for the property, and it was only on the market for 10 days before someone bought it.
Suico remarked that he was still getting calls from those interesting in buying the home well after it went off the market, and that the callers were interested in learning about which other properties might be for sale in the same area.
He feels that if someone sees a home in that area they might like to buy, they should put in an offer early, as the sales are really brisk right now. Those interested in selling their homes on their own can have a printing company produce Brochures that show photos of their property.
Recent numbers released by the Real Estate Board of Vancouver show that April’s regional sales were up by 37 per cent over those from April 2014, and were over 29 per cent higher than the 10-year sales average for the same month.Get a Free Quote for Brochures
