Burnaby welcomes return of spring celebration

Burnaby will soon be springing into a new season, and it will celebrate the change with an annual event.

Burnaby Blooms will once again give spring a warm welcome, and there will be lots to see and do. It can help to shake off the winter doldrums, and it will promote living a sustainable lifestyle as well as all that makes the community great.

Members of public are invited to join the fun. There will be complimentary talks given on a variety of subjects and other learning opportunities, as well as an artisan market, tours, food trucks, pop-up plant sales, a community resource area and activities for the kids. Both the entertainment and admission will be free of charge, and the festivities will go ahead rain or shine. The gathering is slated to take place at Deer Lake Festival Lawn, and it is recommended that everyone try and use public transit or their bike. The festival will run for five hours.

Communities across Canada will be welcoming spring with outdoor events, and the decor used during these functions will need to be able to withstand the weather. A banner printing company will have a range of options to choose from.

Burnaby Blooms will put an extra spring in everyone's step on Sunday, May 3rd. More information, including tips for finding parking, can be found on the City of Burnaby website.
