Burnaby class offers taste of the tropics

As the chilly days of fall take hold, a Burnaby workshop will provide a taste of the tropics by teaching how to build a dish garden.

GARDENWORKS Burnaby-Loughheed will be running a class covering the preparation and planting of a terrarium, and it will have a tropical theme.

The session will be a hands-on experience, and attendees will build their garden from scratch. They will learn the fundamentals of choosing the right soil and other growing medium as well which plants tend to do well when planted together. Everyone can choose three from the species provided, and there will be additional design elements as well, including driftwood, bark and moss.

Expert advice will be available throughout the workshop, and tickets are priced at $59.99 each, plus any applicable taxes and fees. Ticket holders can take their project home with them.

Working with plans may be an enjoyable experience, providing a chance to unwind and connect with nature. Event organizers often reach out to local Stationery printers to supply them with printed sheets of care tips and instructions.

GARDENWORKS Burnaby-Lougheed has scheduled this hands-on tropical terrarium class for Sunday, October 18th. It will begin at 10:00 am and will last for approximately one hour. All tickets will need to be reserved in advance and are only redeemable at the specified location.
