Beekeeping is a hobby that can be quite fascinating, and anyone who is considering adding a hive to their garden will want to make sure they do not miss an upcoming workshop in Burnaby.
The workshop has been organized by BC Bee Supply, and one of the establishment’s ‘BeeMaster’ instructors will introduce the public to the art of beekeeping. Attendees do not need to have any prior experience with raising bees, and the workshop will help them to get a hive though its first season.
The class will kick off with a discussion of these industrious insects, including their anatomy, physiology and life cycle. The students will find out how and where to purchase bees, and they will also learn about the equipment that makes caring for them easier. It will be focused on honeybee care and culture, and the registration fee is $239.72.
The organizer has noted that each registrant will receive a textbook so that they can keep on learning after the workshop is over. Textbooks like this can be crafted by area Print shops.
