The St. Albert Volunteer Fair and Community Information Day will take place this October, aiming to bring together people interested in volunteering with local organizations.
The event will include over 50 local volunteer and community organizations looking to fill positions or share information. Organizations will also be providing information about how their services can benefit individuals and families in St. Albert and surrounding areas. The event is free to attend for community members, although registration in advance is encouraged. It is put on by the St. Albert and Area Volunteer Managers Group, in association with the City of St. Albert.
Volunteer organizations that typically work with this group and have a presence in the St. Albert area range from emergency support to cultural organizations like the Arden Theatre or St. Albert Public Library. Organizations at events like this often use tools like flyer printing or visual displays to help display what they offer to the community.
Exhibiting organizations will have access to a table, a networking lounge, and free parking, with organization names displayed on event signage. Each organization will be not-for-profit and offer recreation, wellness, or heritage services, with private businesses and politically affiliated groups not allowed.
The 2024 St. Albert Volunteer Fair and Community Information Day will take place on the afternoon of October 6 at St. Albert Place.
