Musical fundraiser planned for St. Albert

The St. Albert Sturgeon Hospice Association will be holding a special Light Up the Night fundraising concert this March, aiming to gather community support for this in need.

The event will feature performances from local musical acts representing a variety of styles, including the So Noted Singers and Harmonia. Wellstrings Harp Ensemble, whose member Cheryl Dalmer works as a musical therapist for SASHA, will perform as part of the event. The Africans and African Descendants Friendship Club will also present an APAM Cultural Consult performance, including traditional African drumming and music.

Local businesses and community organizations will participate as sponsors for individual musical acts. All proceeds from ticket sales will go towards SASHA’s community programs, which provide palliative and end-of-life care to those in need in the St. Albert area.

Charity events like this often use methods like flyer printing and social media to highlight the work the beneficiary organization does and encourage community participation. Promotion for the event emphasizes its emotional context:

“This fundraising concert is more than a performance; it is a shared moment of reflection, compassion, and gratitude for the care that carries individuals and families through every stage of a palliative journey.”

The 2026 SASHA Light Up the Night concert will take place on the evening of March 12 at the Arden Theatre in St. Albert.
