St. Albert to host job fair next month

The city of St. Albert will be hosting a Spring Job Fair with several local organizations and businesses this April, looking to benefit jobseekers.

The fair will be free to all, with no advance registration required. Attendees are encouraged to consult with a Resume and Job Search Tutor from the St. Albert Public Library in advance, as any job fair requires a round of resume and business card printing. There will be a number of employment-related organizations on site to provide resources, including Grow Women Leaders, Alberta Indigenous Construction Career Centre, Careers in Transition, and St. Albert Further Education, as well as employers in a variety of industries from throughout Alberta.

For employers, the Spring Job Fair offers the ability to reach local talent as well as business networking. There will be a keynote speaker presentation by Derek Bruno on working with Indigenous communities, accompanied by a light lunch, and information about Alberta Workforce and Labour grants for registered exhibitors prior to the opening of the fair. The job fair is sponsored by local, provincial and federal governments as well as organizations such as the St. Albert & District Chamber of Commerce. Interpreters will be available for newcomers in Spanish, Turkish, Arabic and Tagalog.

The 2024 St. Albert Spring Job Fair will take place on the afternoon of April 25.
