Four country hitmakers will be visiting St. Albert this winter as part of their “Great Canadian Roadtrip” Tour.
The show will include full concerts by Doc Walker, Michelle Wright, and Jason McCoy. Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame member Wright is touring in support of her recent releases “The Wright Songs: An Acoustic Evening with Michelle Wright” and her tenth studio album “Milestone”, and her performance will likely feature a mixture of new and classic songs. The duo of Doc Walker, including Chris Thorsteinson and Dave Wasyliw, will be the only group act on the tour. McCoy, best known as part of the best-selling Canadian country band The Road Hammers, will be performing solo as part of the event.
The three artists have been touring together under the “Great Canadian Roadtrip” banner since this past September, with the winter leg of the tour taking them through Alberta and the Prairies. In addition to St. Albert, the tour will stop at cities such as Fort Saskatchewan and Camrose. Group tours like this are a popular way for artists to reach new listeners, as well as their existing fans, with poster printing and radio advertisements often used to promote such shows.
“The Great Canadian Road Trip” will come to St. Albert’s Arden Theatre on the evening of Sunday, January 28, 2024.
