Charity festival to rock St. Albert

This August will see the return of Rock’n August Week in St. Albert, with a week of music and car events helping to raise money for a good cause.

The event has been a summer tradition in St. Albert for over 25 years and combines music, classic cars, and a street festival. The event kicks off with an event hosted by the St. Albert and District Chamber of Commerce featuring over 300 classic cars on display. There will be a scavenger hunt hosted throughout the week, as well as a “Poker Run” where participants must gather cards from around the city. There will be a number of food events throughout the weekend, including a breakfast at Memories, a barbecue with the St. Albert Eagles, and a Pancake Breakfast at Ricky’s All Day Grill.

The week will conclude with a City Street Dance on Friday, with performances from local bands, and a Show & Shine event with hundreds of rare and souped-up cars shined up and on display. All 14 events will be raising money for the Alberta Diabetes Foundation, contributing to research for diabetes treatment. Car shows and festivals such as this are often promoted through brochure printing or local media and can help to bring the community together as well as contribute to charitable causes.

The 2023 Rock’n August Week will take place throughout St. Albert between August 8 and 12.
