The Edmonton Humane Society provides a voice to those who can’t speak for themselves, and it has a celebration for this Halloween that will welcome both people and their pets.
The organization will be rolling out the orange and black carpet for its Howl-O-Ween event, and it will pay tribute to the role companion and other animals play in people’s lives. Admission will be free, but everyone is asked to consider bringing non-perishable pet care items, and these will be added to the “Stuff-A-Van” donation drive.
The public that stops by can meet some pet psychics, and they can choose to enter the costume contest for people and their pets. A ninja warrior course challenge will be set up, and there will be an agility course and sniff and find maze for the canine guests. The kids can visit the inflatables, and everyone can get a sneak peek into the day-to-day operations of the Society. Treats will be shared, and other excitement is on the agenda as well.
To maximize the amount raised throughout the day and also increase public awareness, the Society will have an assortment of branded Promotional Products and other merch on sale. There will also be Boo Baskets, and new for this year, there will be goodie Boxes for pets. A sponsorship program is also in place.
