Being environmentally friendly doesn’t have to be complicated, and an Edmonton event schedule can make it a lot easier for those who call the city home.
The city’s Reuse Centre has set the date for its monthly Swap Events for 2025, and they will each take place at the venue, which is located at 6835 83 Street. Each of them will run for five hours, and the organizers explained there’s no fee to participate.
To take part, Edmonton households are welcome to bring up to five items they’d like to trade for ones that are new to them, and materials may also be dropped off in advance. Donations to the Centre will be greatly appreciated, and each instalment will have its own theme. May’s focus is small appliances, and it has been requested that they all be safe, clean and in working order. A registration system has been put in place for any community members that would like to get involved.
As the public becomes more interested in sustainability, many communities have come up with creative ways to be environmentally friendly. Local Print shops will be pleased to provide an assortment of effective marketing materials.
The next Reuse Centre swap will take place on May 17th. A full schedule of dates and themes, as well as what items will and won’t be accepted, can be found on the city’s website.
