A freshly fried or baked donut can be a real treat, and an Edmonton cookery class will soon be showing how easy they can be to prepare in the home kitchen.
The Multipurpose Room at the Mill Woods Recreation Centre will be running a workshop that will teach adults how to prepare donuts. It will include hands-on experience with frying and baking them, and it will run for three hours.
The learners in the Delicious Donuts class will receive all of the supplies they will need, and Aura Morrison will teach the basic techniques for preparing this popular pastry. The learners will each make and proof the dough and fill their donuts before frying and baking them, and there will be lots of taste testing. Anyone who requires an accommodation to be able to participate has been asked to contact the organizers in advance so they can be ready.
A culinary class can be a fun chance to learn some new skills along with others in a relaxed environment. Printed recipe cards, waivers and other documents for an activity like this one can be prepared by Stationery printers.
Edmonton home bakers who would like to add donuts to their repertoire are welcome to be part of this hands-on Delicious Donuts workshop scheduled for March 19th. It will run from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
