Print companies in Calgary, Alberta, will have been on hand to supply promotional materials for Heritage Classic outdoor hockey match. The game will be held at McMahon Stadium and feature the Montreal Canadians against the Calgary Flames, but a local event that has this match to thank for its existence is the Cold-FX Salute to Hockey Moms luncheon.
This luncheon was set up to celebrate the 125 hockey moms from the area around Calgary, for their dedication to the countless hours they put in for their kids in driving them to hockey games, which is something that they are more than happy to do. This luncheon event is hosted by Don Cherry, who is a known hockey commentator in Canada.
This salute to hockey mothers is not an event that sprang up first in the Calgary area; it has been held in five other provinces outside of Alberta, but is the first time that it will be held inside this province. The 125 females were chosen out of a field of thousands of possible entries, and their selection was founded on the nominations of family, friends, and, in many cases, their own children. Said children are also welcome at this luncheon event for the hockey gals.
Some of the mothers may be little bit embarrassed to be selected for this celebration of their efforts in their kids’ hockey games, because, they acknowledge, their husbands do at least as much for the children, too.
Poster and flyer printing firms in Calgary will be honored to have a hand in advertising the event.
