Indoor horticulture tips to be focus of Calgary workshop

Having plants in a home can offer many benefits, but not everyone has been blessed with a green thumb. Those who need a little extra help when it comes to houseplants are invited to join Plant’s Kyle Chow, who will be hosting a workshop all about indoor horticulture.

This Calgary session, which will be between one and a half and two hours long, will cover the care and feeding of houseplants, plant selection, and an assortment of other topics. The learners will discover how to choose plants that are a good fit for their home and the amount of time they have to care for their indoor garden.

Tickets for this workshop are $60 each, and this includes a $30 credit which the students can use to purchase a plant and pot for the class. The learners will use these to gain some hands-on experience in repotting plants, and at the end of the session, the participants will be able to take their new plant home.

An event like this can offer an introduction to indoor plant husbandry. Providing the students with basic plant care manuals, which can be produced by a printing services company, will help them to keep their new plants healthy and happy.

Plant has made plans to host this workshop on June 29. It can be found at 1327 9th Avenue SE.
