Calgary will celebrate Latin culture this summer

The city of Calgary will soon be host to a couple of events that will celebrate Latin culture.

The first event is Mexifest which will take place over two days early next month. It is set to feature two stages – one will feature the music of authentic Mexican bands while the other will offer dance performances. There will also be a variety of authentic Mexican foods and drinks for purchase. Other activities will include Mexican wrestling, vendors and a kids’ area that will feature games such as Piñata and the Hat Dance. Everyone through the gates will receive a free program.

Later on in the month, for three days, the Fiestaval Latino Festival is taking place. It is dedicated to Latin American culture and there will be music, dance and traditional costumes. There will also be a variety of vendors selling arts and crafts, retail goods and food. Non-profit organizations will also be on hand to provide information to the public.

To order items like programs, organizers of events like these often invest in the services of Calgary Stationery printers.

Mexifest will be held at Eau Claire Place next weekend from July 6 to 7. Tickets are $10 in advance or $20 at the gate, and admission is free for seniors and children under the age of 10. Visit the event website to learn more.

The Fiestaval Latino Festival will be held at Calgary Olympic Place from July 20 to 22. Admission is free of charge. Call 403-880-1562 for more information.
