Calgary rib fans have been anticipating the return of an event that will allow them to enjoy their fill of barbecued fare.
The Rotary Club is a community service organization that engages in a variety of projects both locally and internationally, and one of its tastiest events will be back this September. The Rotary Rib Fest is on the agenda for early fall, and it is expected to attract quite a crowd.
A variety of “ribbers” will be coming to the city to showcase their culinary talents, and the food will be served with lots of ice cold beer and other beverages. Live entertainment is in the works, and everyone can try their luck in the raffle and even-split draws. All ages are welcome and, while admission is free of charge, donations to the cause will be greatly appreciated. The activity is set to be held at the McMahon Stadium Parking Lot, which is wheelchair accessible and can be reached by public transit.
